Peace if Possible, Truth at All Costs (Sunday Update)

Sermon for 2/25/24

For the Second Sunday in Lent, Pastor Bramwell preached on Genesis 32:22-32. The podcast and video versions were produced for the benefit of those who were unable to attend the Divine Service and for the evangelism effort of the congregation.

Pastor’s New Podcast: Truth at All Costs!

For matters of the conscience Pastor Bramwell terminated his contract with KFUO and is no longer hosting Cross Defense. However, podcasting is a wonderful way to serve members of our congregation and others all across the world with the Word of the Lord. With that in mind, Pastor B didn’t want to step away from the microphone. In the place of Cross Defense, we now have Truth at All Costs, which is a fitting replacement given who we are at St. Mark Lutheran Church. Martin Luther said, “Peace if possible, truth at all costs.” Indeed and amen!

Listen (or watch) new episodes every Saturday morning at 9 AM, which is the same time you were used to hearing Cross Defense. Here is the first episode of the new podcast… for you and yours!

Available on all major podcast platforms. On Spotify and YouTube, you’ll find both video and audio versions are available.

Turn up the heat with this conversation with Grammy-nominated hip-hop artist Flame (former reformed Baptist turned Confessional Lutheran). Then Pastor Bramwell fields a lengthy comment from a listener who didn’t like that he promoted the work and words of abortion abolitionists. And at the very end of the show, LCMS president, Rev. Matt Harrison has a message about Lutheran Schools… And Pastor Bramwell tries to rap.

Pope Francis approved Fiducia Supplicans allowing priests to bless same-sex couples. Is it a surprise that papal authority would be used for such evil? No. An examination of our Treatise on the Power and Primacy of the Pope reminds us that we have always known of the pope’s antichristian ways. During the conversation, we’ll hear what Metropolitan Hilarion, Trent Horn, Brian Holdsworth, and an Africa Bishop have to say about the document. Plus, a listener wants to know about screens in the sanctuary.
