Return to the Apostolic Faith

“For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

We are so glad that you have found our website and hope that you will join us on Sunday morning to be served by God Himself in the Divine Service with His gifts of forgiveness, renewal, comfort, and peace. Because that is what true worship is: Now what we can do to serve God or trying to work our way into His good graces, but God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit coming down to us to make their home in our hearts and souls through faith. This faith itself is a gift from God to us, given when we hear the good news of the grace and mercy of God manifested in Jesus Christ crucified, buried, and resurrected to atone for our sins.

Here at St. Mark's we are unapologetically and uncompromisingly bold in our confession that there is salvation in no other name that Jesus Christ's as the one, true, and living God (Acts 4:12). We firmly confess the Scriptures to be the Word of God in which He has revealed all that is necessary for life, salvation, and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). We also faithfully uphold the Lutheran Confessions as contained in the Book of Concord to be accurate and true expositions of the teaching of Scripture. We confess the Sacraments of Holy Baptism, Confession, and the Lords Supper as the means by which God actively works through men to create, strengthen, and sustain faith in His people so they would endure to the end and be saved (Matthew 24:13), and together we look for the great day of His appearing in glory to put and end to death and the grave (1 Corinthians 15:6; 2 Timothy 1:10; Revelation 21:4) and give eternal life to all who believe in Him (John 10:28).

If you would like to learn more about what we believe, please check out our "What We Believe" page or contact Rev. Hulett directly with any questions you have or to schedule an appointment to meet with him.

We hope to see you soon!

"Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near."

Hebrews 10:19-25
