Violent Metaphors and Christ’s Construction Battalion | Cross Defense

Listen every Saturday at 9 AM (Pacific) at KFUO.org or on your favorite podcast app.

Pastor Bramwell talks about Sage Alexander’s sensationalized article on the front page of Sunday’s Times-Standard, gets compared to the Westboro Baptists by a reader of the paper, shares with us his recent opportunity to do some street ministry, and discusses biblical communication wherein he refutes a pastor who says he’s fundamentally flawed because speaking the Law to LGBTQ activists instead of building conversational bridges.

The Devil Flees From Us

This is the video version of Pastor Bramwell’s July 2023 letter to St. Mark.

James says, “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” Well, we resisted him, and he flees from us. The demonic LGBTQ pride protest was attended this year, in protest against St. Mark’s stance against unrepentant sin, but stayed away from us. The demons don’t want to be tormented by Jesus.

Genuine Love

This Week’s Sign (7/2/23 – 7/9/23)

This week’s sign went up a day early because on Sunday (7/2/23) evening a man and woman in a white sedan stole the letters off the marquee. They were returned (thrown on the lawn), probably because Pastor’s son caught them in the act and confronted him.

After reporting the crime to Ferndale PD, this week’s message went up. You’ll recognize the text from Sunday’s sermon. It’s an important message not only for us Christians but for the whole world to see as so many of our neighbors misunderstand what it means to love. It doesn’t mean you cannot abhor evil. Indeed, love necessitates it.

If you have any information about these thieves, please contact Ferndale Police (707) 786-4025

The fact that this assault on our property was carried out on the same day that Eureka’s Times-Standard published a sensationalized article about Pastor Bramwell’s June 2023 Ferndale Fortitude is not lost on us. More on that in the upcoming episode of Cross Defense (7/8/23).

How Was Pride Month Celebrated Near You? | Cross Defense

Listen every Saturday at 9 AM (Pacific) at KFUO.org or on your favorite podcast app.

Pastor Bramwell wants to know how LGBTQ Pride Month was celebrated near you. In Pennsylvania, a street preacher was arrested. California continues to promote the breaking of the fourth commandment. Kayla Lovdahl is suing doctors for performing a double mastectomy on her when she was 13. Plus, we get inspired by the Magdeburg Confession and review a video of Ferndale’s LGBTQ harassing a Roman Catholic monk.

The Old Steeple and Ferndale’s Chamber of Commerce are all in on sin

This Week’s Sign (6/26/23 – 7/2/23)

The owners of the Old Steeple have made it clear that they are in full support of bringing LGBTQ sin to Ferndale. Beyond flying the Pride flag on the side of their old church in January they offered their venue (the same one where they host music lessons for all ages—including children) to Lost Coast Pride so that the non-profit could bring an all-ages drag show to our city. Most recently Paul Beatie and Cheri March (owners of the Old Steeple) coordinated with the same LGBTQ organization to gather protestors at their site for the June 25, 2023, march where, among other things, a local Roman Catholic monk was harassed while trying to get into his church to officiate Sunday’s Latin Mass.

LGBTQ Protestors gather at The Old Steeple.

Ferndale’s Chamber of Commerce, like its member, The Old Steeple, continues to promote the queering of Ferndale: The Board wrote a letter to the City Council, lobbying them to pass the anti-hate resolution that was ultimately defeated in April, the Chamber’s email signature is a confession of how they aim to market our city to the world, and at least one of the Chamber’s Board members, Caroline Titus, marched in Lost Coast Pride’s parade—and added insult to injury in her tweet about the above mentioned Roman Catholic monk.
