Luke 17:11-19

On the way to Jerusalem he was passing along between Samaria and Galilee. And as he entered a village, he was met by ten lepers, who stood at a distance and lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.” When he saw them he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went they were cleansed. Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; and he fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan. Then Jesus answered, “Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?” And he said to him, “Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well.”

1 Corinthians 14:3 describes what prophecies look like. What does the one who prophesies do?

Since God did not destine us for wrath what does 1 Thessalonians 5:11 say we are supposed to do for one another? How well are you doing this?

What’s the most encouraging message you can share? What’s the ultimate way to build someone up?   

Are “the sufferings of this present time worth comparing to the glory that is to be revealed to us,” (Rom. 8:18) in heaven?  

How is the spiritual oil lamp that you were given when you were baptized refilled?

Matthew 9:20-22

And behold, a woman who had suffered from a discharge of blood for twelve years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment, for she said to herself, “If I only touch his garment, I will be made well.” Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And instantly the woman was made well.

What is today’s focus?

When we acknowledge that we’re sinners, we’re not simply recognizing God says we can and cannot do, but that sin has us living at odds with what?  

How does Exodus 33:18-20 shape the understanding of His people when we desire to see God’s glory in our lives?

What does John 1 tell us about Jesus’ incarnation?

Why did God establish His Law?

The bleeding woman is a picture of faithfulness. Though God’s Law burdens her for twelve years, she doesn’t reject God. Instead, she clings to God’s Word and her faith makes her well. Is this how you are used to treating God’s Word when it imposes a burden on your life?

The woman’s faith made her well. Does your faith in Christ make you well? (The answer is a resounding YES!)

Again he sent other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner, my oxen and my fat calves have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding feast.”’ But they paid no attention and went off, one to his farm, another to his business, while the rest seized his servants, treated them shamefully, and killed them. The king was angry, and he sent his troops and destroyed those murderers and burned their city. Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy. Go therefore to the main roads and invite to the wedding feast as many as you find.’ And those servants went out into the roads and gathered all whom they found, both bad and good. So the wedding hall was filled with guests. “But when the king came in to look at the guests, he saw there a man who had no wedding garment. And he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless. Then the king said to the attendants, ‘Bind him hand and foot and cast him into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ For many are called, but few are chosen.”
