Episode 8: Are all people made in the image of God? Is that why humans should be treated with dignity?
We hear from both the right and the left, both inside and outside the Church that all people are made in the image of God. Is this true? What does Scripture say about who is made in the image of God? What has the historic Church taught about who is made in the image of God? Are babies born in the image of God? Are transgender people made in the image of God? Ephesians 4:24 and Colossians 3:10 have the answer. Let’s study them along with Tertullian, Augustine, Martin Luther and the Lutheran Reformers, Johann Gerhard, A.L. Graebner, and Francis Pieper.
