Lord Jesus, by Your glorious resurrection You triumphed over sin, the world, death, and the devil, and from the darkness of the tomb You brought to light righteousness, life, and salvation. It is Your will that we should not remain in spiritual death and lie prostrate on the ground, mourning and lamenting, but that through faith we arise and live with You and therefore no longer serve sin, which caused You such great suffering; nor love the world, which You overcame; nor fear death, hell, and Satan, whom You disarmed and over whom You triumphed, making a show of them openly, and whom You have made Your footstool.
Graciously grant that we may believe in You with our whole heart, be filled with joy over Your victory, live to honor You, always be patient in tribulation, and rejoice in hope, until we shall see You in that glory which You received from Your Father before the foundation of the world and in Your presence rejoice forevermore. Hear us for the sake of Your triumphant resurrection. Amen.
